This is something that happened quite by accident. It was a chance encounter at the Army Golf Course that resulted in our tentative steps into the world of book design and layout, which just goes to show that golf makes good business sense.
To cut a long story short, we were employed to edit and design a telephone directory for the Red Eagles. Top secret stuff and we were thrilled to be chosen, so we put everything on hold, gave our men in khaki a generous discount, and went to work.
They must have liked what we did because it resulted in another commission: to edit and design a coffee table book on the city of Allahabad, for the Indian Army. The army has one of its largest bases here, so it wanted an informative book that could be kept in its guesthouses to welcome visiting dignitaries and tell them more about the city.
Working on this project was a tremendous experience and one that we’re not likely to forget anytime.
