It took four long years for us to finally muster up the courage, dump our existing jobs and finally go it on our own. Even then, there were a lot of doubts, uncertainty, and procrastination. Time was also a major factor, because we had already been working as freelance writers/editors and jobs were coming in all the time.
One day, I said to hell with it, and opened a web hosting account with Yahoo. It’s amazing how fast you get to work when you’re forced to put some money down. In fact we made the initial website overnight. It was quite a feat, given the fact that Avs is more conversant with grammar than html, and I know more about marine navigation as opposed to navigating a web page.
Well, although its still a work in progress, and not the fanciest web page ever, www.the9words.com is a 100 % handmade and homemade website, made on Microsoft Publisher 2007. Do check it out.
